Downs squad out to atone at rep level

AFL: DARLING Downs will work towards redemption after naming a men’s representative training squad.

Darling Downs will take on Wide Bay at Maroochydore on June 11 in the region’s annual representative match.

Wide Bay took the honours last year so the Downs squad will be keen to turn the tables next month.

Shaun Johnson and Tony Bullen will coach the Darling Downs and they will bring together an invitational training squad to prepare for the game.

A squad of 42 players has been named featuring the best players from across the AFL Darling Downs competition.

The squad will train at USQ each Wednesday for the nest three weeks before a final squad of 22 will be named.
