Family desperate for any new leads
AN increasingly desperate search for missing Middle Ridge man Paul Anderson continues with concerns he may have travelled further west in Central Queensland.
Mr Anderson, 49, was last confirmed to have been at a Duaringa petrol station on Saturday, two days after he was reported missing from Toowoomba with his cream coloured Proton Jumbuck.
Southern Region search and rescue coordinator Acting Senior Sergeant Jeremy Sheldrick said two unconfirmed sightings at Alpha and Clermont had been reported since an appeal for information on Monday.
“Once again it shows some kind of movement through the Central Queensland area, and has been reported up to 24 hours after the sighting,” he said.
“There has been no confirmed sighting since Saturday and that definitely adds to the risk and concern if he is in a remote area that doesn’t have passing traffic.”
Mr Anderson’s family organised air patrols in Central Queensland in an effort to locate his ute, with Queensland registration 814-LSM, without success.
Snr Sgt Sheldrick said the search was taking its toll on Mr Anderson’s family.
He urged anyone who saw Mr Anderson or a cream coloured Proton Jumbuck to report it as soon as possible to police or 131 444.
Mr Anderson, who suffers a medical condition, is 175cm tall, with brown hair and an eye patch.
