CAROLS will return to Wilsonton tonight, just in time for Christmas.

Volunteers have been working overtime to organise the 18th annual Wilsonton Community Carols which is set to be bigger than ever.

Held at a new location at the Brothers Rugby League Club, more families will be able to enjoy the event which will run from 4pm to 9pm.

Volunteer Darren Vayro said the event was a great family night out and one for the whole community.

“This is one of my favourite times of the year. I enjoy it for the simple fact I know it’s coming to the end of the year and I can kick back and relax,” Mr Vayro said.

“Kids have a lot of fun and it’s basically for the community, that is what it is all about.

“It’s towards the end of the year, (you can) have a good time with family and the kids, come down, enjoy the night out and have a great time.”

Toowoomba band Jasper Black will take to the stage at 7pm along with the Toowoomba Municipal Band. Santa will arrive at 8pm and fireworks will begin at 8.50pm.

Organised by the Wilsonton Progress Association, the event will also include market stalls, food, bar, rides and a petting zoo.
