Fabulous fashion, a fresh celebrity face and a touch elegance will feature at this year’s GC Event Hire Fashion Passport marquee at the Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood.

Last year’s Fashion Passport was a roaring success and racegoers were spoiled in their silk-lined marquee surroundings, thanks to one of Queensland’s leading suppliers for party hire, GC Event Hire.

Back by popular demand, this year fashionistas will be treated to elegant surroundings, a spectacular grazing canape menu, access to the glamorous pamper lounge and an inclusive drinks package.

Those attending will also be able to rub shoulders with stylish and much-loved male model, television presenter, former professional athlete and star of the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Kris Smith, thanks to Create Home Loans.

This year Fashion Passport wines will be exclusively supplied by Brown Brothers. Fashionistas will indulge in the Brown Brothers Prosecco NV, the sparkling wine of the season — not sweet and not dry, just right — with Nashi pears and green apple characters, it’s a crowd pleaser.

The Prosecco NV will be complemented by the 18 Eighty Nine range of sauvignon blanc (100% Tasmanian fruit, hints of melon, passionfruit and freshly cut grass, with a racy acidity), the chardonnay (a vibrant, full-bodied dry white with fresh stone fruit characters and long, lingering, crisp finish) and, finally, the shiraz (with generous juicy red and dark berry fruits and the hints of pepper – a classic of a Heathcote shiraz). Situated on the top-side of the mounting yard, the silk-lined marquee offers views of the live racing action, while sharing the pre-race excitement that comes with watching the jockeys as they prepare to mount their horses and compete. The ever-popular Funny Money Bookmaker will return also, where all guests in the GC Event Hire Fashion Passport Marquee will receive $20,000 “funny money” to use to place bets on local races in the hopes of building their kitty. This “funny money” can then be used to bid on fabulous items at the auction, which will be held after the last local race. For the fashionistas, the Hannas Fashions On The Field will be hotly contested, while the Arbonne Pamper Lounge will ensure you look dazzling throughout the entire day. Gates open for the Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood at 11am, with the GC Event Hire Fashion Passport Marquee open at 11.30am and live racing from 12 noon. Tickets to the GC Event Hire Fashion Passport Marquee for 2017 are $165 per person (inclusive of 5-hour grazing canape and drinks package). Tickets are limited, so get in early to secure yours online at www.weetwood.com.au.
