1. The 2017 Queensland Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo

WHEN: Today, 9am to 5pm, tomorrow, 9am to 4pm

WHERE: Toowoomba Showground­s

THE 2017 Queensland Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo will feature dozens of caravans, motorhome and camper trailer retailers, tourism and holiday destinatio­ns, motorbikes, recreation­al vehicles and dozens of motoring and camping accessory companies.

2. Brewoomba

WHEN: Today, noon to 9pm WHERE: The Spotted Cow, Tapestry bar, The Mills Precinct and Fitzy’s on Church

BREWOOMBA is Toowoomba’s own annual celebratio­n of the amber ale.

Each of The Spotted Cow Hotel, Tapestry Bar, Mill Precinct and Fitzy’s on Church will feature their own, unique line-up of Australian and internatio­nal craft beers on tap and in bottles plus special events and opportunit­ies to meet some of the brewers.

3. National Jockey Celebratio­n Day

WHEN: Today, 4.30pm WHERE: Clifford Park Racecourse

CLIFFORD Park Racecourse will come to a standstill this afternoon to celebrate National Jockey Celebratio­n Day.

Half an hour before race one, Toowoomba Turf Club committee, staff, jockeys and Queensland Racing and Integrity Commission representa­tives will stand side-by-side at the track’s

winning post to pay respects to fallen and injured jockeys

4. 72nd City of Toowoomba Eisteddfod

WHEN: Today and tomorrow, various times WHERE: Empire Theatre complex

SEE Toowoomba’s most talented youngsters on the stage for the City of Toowoomba Eisteddfod.

Sections include dance and speech and drama tomorrow.

Sessions are at 8am, 12.30pm and 5.30pm.

5. DownsSteam open day

WHEN: Today, 10am to 2.30pm

WHERE: DownsSteam Tourist Railway and Museum

THE open day is your chance to see what’s on offer at DownsSteam Tourist Railway and Museum.

There will be a sausage sizzle, tours, section car rides and a Dreamtime carriage tour. Entry is a gold coin donation.

6. Queensland Government Assistive Devices Hackathon

WHEN: Tomorrow afternoon WHERE: TAFE Queensland South West

TOOWOMBA’S tech and creative types and people with disabiliti­es and their carers are set for a weekend of designing life-enhancing devices in a Queensland Government-funded quest.

Over the weekend, teams will develop prototype assistive devices that could be commercial­ised to meet local needs, cut costs of equipment and reduce reliance on imports.

The hackathon is open to the public tomorrow.

7. Royal Bull’s Head Inn open day

WHEN: Tomorrow, 10am

WHERE: Royal Bull’s Head Inn

THERE is so much to see during the Bull’s Head Inn’s open day, including the

Toowoomba Lace Makers, St Matthews Craft Group and The Toowoomba Quilters.

There will also be various demonstrat­ions.

Entry is $4 for children and $6 for adults.

8. Webers Circus

WHEN: Today and tomorrow WHERE:Queens Park

ENJOY a night of fantastic family fun - Webers Circus is here in Toowoomba.

Shows are on at 3pm and 7pm today and 11am tomorrow.

10. Australian National Footbike Championsh­ips

WHEN: Today noon, and tomorrow, 9am WHERE: Toowoomba Criterium Circuit

SEE what all the “footbike” fuss is about this weekend when the Australian National Footbike Championsh­ips comes to Toowoomba.

A Footbike is like an adult version of the kids’ scooter and the sport is big in Europe.
