Book now to avoid sold-out performances

-

EMPIRE Theatres’ 20th anniversary season audience members are being encouraged to book their tickets for remaining 2017 performances quickly to avoid disappointment.

The warning comes after popular country artist, Lee Kernaghan’s 25th Anniversary Tour at the Empire Theatre on Saturday, September 9 sold out ahead of his performance, leaving many fans who had planned to buy tickets on the night disappointed.

Empire Theatres marketing manager Emilee Nichols said the best way to avoid missing out on seeing your favourite performer was to book early.

“This year has been a sensational season so far with many arts organisations with national and international repute performing on our stages as well as many well-known and loved musicians,” Ms Nichols said.

“Lee Kernaghan is just one example of how quickly a performance can sell out, and so we urge our audiences to purchase tickets early to ensure they don’t miss out on seeing their favourite artist.

“It’s also timely to remind our audiences to be vigilant when purchasing tickets online, avoid resale sites and scams and to only purchase through authorised sellers for the event you want to attend, in our case the Empire Theatre website.”

The 2017 season continues after a successful start with many high-profile performances on offer including Pete Murray, Tina Arena and Queensland Ballet’s La Fille mal gardee in September.

This is followed by Queensland Pops Orchestra with musical theatre star Teddy Tahu-Rhodes, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, world famous ABBA tribute group, Bjorn Again and international comedian Arj Barker in October.

The Empire Theatres 2018 Season will be launched in November.
