Search is on for newest millionaire from Downs

-

THERE is a new millionaire on the Darling Downs - and the lucky person may not even know it.

A Pittsworth shopper became a millionaire in Wednesday night’s Gold Lotto draw, winning the huge division-one prize.

The winning ticket holder is urged to contact Golden Casket as soon as possible to begin the prize claim process.

Golden Casket spokesman Matt Hart said the Pittsworth division-one winning entry had not been registered to a Winners Circle card so officials had no clues or contact details for the winner.

“If you bought an entry in last night’s Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto in Pittsworth, there’s more than a million reasons why it would pay to check, and double check, your entry,” Mr Hart said.

“Imagine winning more than $1 million but not knowing it. Discovering you’re a new millionaire is bound to change your plans for the rest of the week.

“We’re putting the call out to help track down our mystery winner and share the happy news with them.

“The winning ticket may have been stashed away for safekeeping in a wallet, the car glove box or be hiding in plain sight on the fridge door.”

The winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3697 on Wednesday, September 20 were 17, 13, 5, 24, 37 and 26. The supplementary numbers were 28 and 40.

Across Australia there were two division-one winning entries in Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3697 – one from Queensland and one from South Australia.
