RACING: Gatton trainer Brenton Andrew hopes to cash in on home soil this weekend when he saddles four chances on tomorrow’s seven-race TAB card at Burgess Park.

Entires and Geldings Benchmark 55 Handicap (1100m).

The wide-travelling Andrew is confident he can celebrate a rare day off the road with a home success.

“I’ll be very disappointed if one of them doesn’t get up for us, but you’ve got to have that bit of luck going for you on the day. That’s racing,” Andrew said yesterday.

“They are all working well but I thought Run Louie Run might be the hardest of ours to beat.”

Run Louie Run lines up in the Tursa Employment & Training/River 949 Class 3 Plate (1400m) following his last-start third behind Zip To The Moon in the Dalby Cup (1400m) two weeks ago.

“I thought there only looked to be a couple of hopes in the race and if he runs up to his best he should go close to the money,” Andrew said.

TOMORROW’S meeting marks the return to riding of successful Toowoomba apprentices Baylee Nothdurft and Bec Williams from suspension and injury lay-offs.
