INDOOR CRICKET: Lyle Teske may be nursing a quad injury but he is making an impact in limited game time at the Indoor Cricket World Cup in Dubai.

Captain Teske helped Australia get off to an unbeaten start to the tournament as the defending champions won their first seven matches.

Australia was scheduled to play Singapore early this morning (AEST) in its last round-robin match before tackling the semi-finals the next day.

Earlier in the week, Teske starred as Australia downed India 84-5.

Teske scored 12 runs with the bat and claimed three wickets for -10 runs with the ball in a man-of-the-match performance.

He sat out Australia’s 74-4 victory over South Africa before the Toowoomba star returned for the 78-38 win over Sri Lanka.

Teske scored 11 runs with the bat and returned figures of 2-3 with the ball to finish as Australia’s second-best player statistically in that triumph.

Australia then scored a massive 161-12 victory over England as Teske sat out that clash.

Meanwhile, Gatton’s Jeremy Crighton has also helped Australia’s under 21s team go unbeaten through seven matches at the World Cup.

Crighton was man of the match with 18 runs and bowling figures of two wickets for -6 as Australia downed Singapore 135-46.

He then scored 12 runs and took 2-0 as Australia beat South Africa 96-64.
