Ascot offers powerful bulls

Bloodlines of record breaking angus bulls

-

WHY go south for your breed-leading angus or charolais bulls when you can get them at Ascot?

Ascot use the best sire lines they can from Australia and overseas to make sure the Queensland market has access to these elite carcass trait leading sire lines.

Ascot bulls are bred to give added weight for age in both breeds.

You can see this in the bulls in the sale, plus this is backed up by their actual weights plus breed-leading EBVs.

All Ascot bulls are fully Breedplan recorded, with weights and scans taken through their whole life cycle including birth weights, weaning weights, 400-day and 600-day weights, plus fat, eye muscle and marbling scans.

This valuable Breedplan data assists buyers to select the bulls that suit their requirements, whether it may be heifer bulls, bulls targeted at the 400-day market, grass market or to suit breeding bullocks.

Many of the angus bulls in the sale have bloodlines from the record-breaking Millah Murrah stud in Bathurst, NSW. Ascot has purchased many of their foundation females from them, plus have used their bulls heavily.

These bloodlines have helped increase the weight for age, muscling and doing ability of the Ascot herd, which can be seen in the Ascot sale bulls.

Sire lines represented in the Ascot sale include: Ascot Hallmark, Millah Murrah Kingdom (current Australian top-priced angus bull), Millah Murrah Hercules, Millah Murrah Highlander G7, Millah Murrah Time On, Carabah Docklands, Emperor, Berkley and Texas Global, just to name a few.

In the charolais bulls, Ascot Eldorado, the homozygous polled red factor sire, is represented with 12 sons.

Eldorado sons have topped two previous sales.
