Lyle Teske has led Australia to victory at the Indoor Cricket World Cup in Dubai.

Australia captain Teske lifted the World Cup after his team downed New Zealand 94-48 in a dominant four skins grand final victory yesterday morning (AEST).

The Toowoomba star scored 10 runs with the bat in the decider to help win his skin by 13 runs.

Teske then took 1-5 from two overs with the ball to make an impressive contribution in the triumph.

That came after Teske was man of the match in Australia’s 73-19 win over New Zealand in their semi-final to progress to the decider.

Teske took a quad injury into the World Cup but overcame the leg worry to lead his team to victory.

He not only played his role but was statistically the fourth-best player at the tournament across all teams.

Teske especially shone with the ball as he took 12 wickets from just 14 overs.

Fellow Toowoomba Dragon Jeremy Crighton is also a World Cup winner after his Australian under 21s team edged out New Zealand in their decider in Dubai.

Australia prevailed 68-66 in the under 21s thriller as both teams claimed two skins each. Crighton scored six runs with the bat and then took 2-5 with the ball as the Gatton cricketer added World Cup winner to his growing list of achievements.
