Race 1: Favourite The Barracuda was hard to lay here and the bookies were 3.20 at jump time. There was specking for Runaway Ruler at 21.00. On-course bookies were caught napping on General Cos and bet 12.0 early. There were good cash bets taken eachway at 10.00 and the bookies started behind after the first.

Race 2: Brave Attack was easy to lay at 3.50 and there was some specking for Tin's Pocket at 21.00. The phone money came for the winner Isis Magic with one phone bet of $5000 at 2.00.

Race 3: There was specking for Milly Muncher at 41.00 with one bet of $125 each way at the odds. Red Mako was specked at 4.40. the winner Message To Martha went from 3.0 to 2.5 off course and the on track bookies were 3.0 at jump time.

Race 4: Here bookies were able to lay most of the runners in the race. The favourite Harmonisin­g was easy to lay with cash bets on track at 2.00 and one bet of $4000 over the phone at 2.00. There was specking for Greynomad on track at 12.00. The winner Stellar Power was well backed off and on track. There was one bet of $3000 at 8.00 and the price tumbled off track to start 4.80. The on-track bookies were 5.00 at jump time and reported a small win.

Race 5: Here punters only wanted You Say No Way with cash bets solid on track at 1.90 including one good phone bet of $4000 at 1.90. That but the bookies behind again. Race 6: In the get-out stakes the punters only wanted one runner in High Africain and the cash came quick on track at 3.50 with one good phone bet of $2000 at 3.40. The winner Hundred was unsupporte­d at 4.4 to give the bookies a small win at the end.
