1. Cully Fest

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday WHERE: Toowoomba Showground­s

SOME of Australia's best rock and folk bands will take over the main stage for this cultural celebratio­n of all things outback and indigenous.

There will be non-indigenous and indigenous speakers, real everyday people you would not normally get to meet, who will be sharing their experience­s, stories of mateship and knowledge of real life, real struggles and real achievemen­t.

2. Hike for the Homeless

WHEN: Saturday, 6.15am WHERE: Jubilee Park, Toowoomba

THE annual Hike 4 Homeless, which raises much needed funds to ensure the Basement Soup Kitchen is able to continue to provide a lunch-time meal, blankets, clothing and essential services to people who are homeless or at high risk of homelessne­ss, is back.

The event starts at 6.15am with hikers setting off from 6.30am.

Bibs can be collected from the CUA Hub in the Walton Stores precinct between from 5.45am Saturday morning.

3. A Day at the Manor

WHEN: Sunday, 10am to 2pm WHERE: Preston Manor

FROM a vintage caravan to giant outdoor games and live musicians, A Day at the Manor at Preston Manor will make you feel inspired and excited for your next event.

Preston Manor will come alive when all things events are showcased at A Day at the

Manor and manager Rob and Bridget McGrath are looking forward to welcoming everyone this weekend.

Entry is free and includes a glass of champagne and canapes.

4. Moonlight Masquerade

WHEN: Saturday, 6pm

WHERE: Kwong Sang Walk

DUST off your dancing shoes, grab a fabulous masquerade mask and join us for night of festivitie­s to celebrate 35 years of the Toowoomba Youth Service helping those who are vulnerable and in need of assistance in the Toowoomba community.

Tickets to this event are available on Eventbrite for $60 and there will be a range of items for auction on the night.

5. November Auction

WHEN: Saturday, 6.30am WHERE: Toowoomba Auction

Centre THE Toowoomba Auction Centre conducts monthly auctions with hundreds of quality lots open to the public.

Items include police stolen property, seized and unclaimed goods, machinery, cattle and fencing equipment, antique and collectabl­e furniture, ex-government and private vehicles, vintage and classic cars, motorbikes, caravans, boats, power tools, workshop equipment, assorted trailers and workshop machines.

6. Backyard Gardeners and Produce Market WHEN: Saturday, 7am WHERE: North State School, Mort and Taylor sts

HEAD to the Toowoomba Backyard Gardeners and Produce Market this weekend.

It’s held on the third Saturday of the month and will have local plants, garden items, produce such as fruit,

vegetables, coffee beans, olives, chutneys, from local people of Toowoomba and the surrounds.

7. The Helen Earley Ensemble Christmas Production­s

WHEN: Saturday, 6pm WHERE: St Paul's Hall, Phillip St

COME and bring your friends to welcome in the Christmas season with The Helen Earley Ensemble and their Primary Choir, Exultate, as they present two Christmas musicals, Our World at Christmas and The Promised Light.

A compliment­ary high tea is included.

8. Murphys Creek Markets

WHEN: Saturday, 7am to 12.30pm

WHERE: Adjacent to Murphys Creek Tavern

MARKET stalls will include plants, preserves, honey, fruit and vegetables, clothing, hats, bags, jewellery, books,

second-hand, bric-a-brac, jumping castle, face painting, soft serve ice-cream, coffee, great burgers and much more.

9. Country music fundraiser

WHEN: Sunday, 11am to 4.30pm WHERE: Murphys Creek Community Centre

SHARON Smith will be the guest artist at the Country Music event fundraisin­g for the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.

There will be lucky door prizes, multi-draw raffles and more.

Entry is $8.

10. Gidgee Coal Bush Ballad Awards

WHEN: Saturday 2pm and Sunday, 12.05pm WHERE: Bottletree Hall, Pittsworth

The Gidgee Coal Bush Ballad Awards are on again.

The awards and finalist concerts will be on Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 12.05pm.
