Graduating with formal flair
ONE thing is for certain – Christian Outreach College graduates sure know how to make an entrance.
From the Batmobile complete with Batman, a classic Aston Martin and the roar of a Lamborghini, the 38 graduates and their partners made stunning entrances at the Highfields Cultural Centre to mark the end of their high school years.
“The night was beautiful,” Christian Outreach College events manager Laurel Radburn said.
The Martinelli family continued its tradition of memorable entries to the formal on November 16 with superheroes – including Batman – flocking graduate sibling Courtney as she walked the red carpet.
And proving that everyone’s best friend deserves their place in special moments, graduates Tina Vernon and Nadilie Reed were escorted to the venue by their beloved fur-babies.
Inside, head of student life and senior teacher Tim McMahon shared his reflections and memories of the graduating students before the traditional baby to graduate photo slide show was presented.
Students also shared their goals and aspirations of the coming 10 years before dancing the night away with Krazy Kevin as DJ for the remainder of the night.
Mrs Radburn said the graduating class shared an emotional final day as a cohort the day after the formal affair.
