1. Toowoomba's Christmas Wonderland

The Christmas Wonderland is open each night between 7pm and 10pm until Sunday, December 24, at the Botanic Gardens, Queens Park, Campbell Street, Toowoomba.

Come along and see more than 125 major Christmas light displays for a gold coin entry, with proceeds donated to local charities.

The event features plenty of food and drink, stalls and entertainm­ent.

2. Christmas in the CBD

A huge production featuring a cast of hundreds, Christmas in the CBD is on this evening.

There will be singing, entertainm­ent, Santa’s sleigh, a procession, lighting of the Christmas tree and more.

The festivitie­s kick off from 5pm outside City Hall, Ruthven Street.

3. Bush Christmas exhibition

The exhibition is open 9am - 6pm from 30 November to 9 December at the Masonic Hall, 58 Neil Street, Toowoomba.

Come along to taste test gourmet delights and find a huge array of quality handmade gifts mostly made in regional Australia.

4. Toowoomba Mayoral Carols by Candleligh­t

The Mayoral Carols for Candleligh­t runs from 4pm to 8.30pm on Sunday, December 10, at lower Queens Park.

5. Toowoomba Christmas Tree Festival

Held at the Middle Ridge Uniting Church, 264 Stenner Street, Middle Ridge, from 9am-9pm, December 6-15.

Entry donations support City Women and Kairos Prison Ministry, organisati­ons helping to make a difference in the local community.

Rotary Club of Toowoomba will be on site each evening 5-7.30pm serving BBQ food.

6. Toowoomba Christmas Lights Tour

Relax and enjoy the magical Christmas Lights Tour in Toowoomba.

This is a fantastic opportunit­y to enjoy a luxury bus tour visiting the top prize-winning homes and festive Christmas displays in Toowoomba.

Tickets are $25 + online booking fee per person. All proceeds go to the Australian Anti Ice Campaign. Tickets can be purchased by searching Toowoomba Christmas Lights Tour at eventbrite.com.au.

7. Back Plains Christmas BBQ

Sunday, December 17, 4pm start at Back Plains Hall. Includes free BBQ and activities for the kids.

8. Cecil Plains Carols by Candleligh­t

Cecil Plains Carols by Candleligh­t will take place Wednesday, December 13 at Memorial Hall, Geraghty Street, Cecil Plains.

A sausage sizzle is on from 5.30pm, carols from 7pm, Santa will be in attendance.

9. Clifton Christmas Street Carnival

Taking place on Friday, December 8, 6-9pm at King Street, Clifton (King Street will be closed for the event).

The night will feature street markets and food stalls.

10. Crows Nest Christmas in the Park

The Crows Nest Christmas in the Park is on again this Friday, December 8, from 5.30pm.

11. Goombungee Community Carols

Community carols are scheduled for Wednesday, December 13, from 6pm onwards at Rosalie Gallery Courtyard. Carols commence at 7pm.

12. Gowrie Junction Movie and Santa

Held on Saturday, December 16, from 5pm to 9pm at Gowrie Junction Community Hall.

Santa arrives at the hall at 6.30pm, and includes a photo shoot with the jolly man himself.

13. Millmerran Combined Churches Christmas Carols

Millmerran celebrates Christmas on Wednesday, December 20 at the Millmerran Hospital Grounds. Carols by candleligh­t with guest artists Brendon Walmsley and Soul Connection at 7pm, Santa Claus attending, decorating Christmas box competitio­n, $2 sausage sizzle starting from 6pm, tea, coffee and sweet treats.

14. Oakey Santa Fair

The Oakey Santa Fair is on again this Saturday, December 9, 3.30-9.30pm at the Oakey soccer grounds.

Santa will arrive at 6.45pm, community carols start at 7pm, fireworks at 8pm and a Christmas movie will begin at 8.15pm.

15. Peacehaven Carols

Saturday, December 9, 6-8.30pm at Peacehaven Park, Highfields.

16. Pittsworth Christmas at the Village

Christmas at the Village is on this Sunday, December 10, from 5-7.30pm at Pittsworth Pioneer Village, Pioneer Way, Pittsworth.

Includes best dressed children's Christmas costume and decorative Christmas boxes competitio­n.

17. Pittsworth Christmas in the Park

Takes place on Tuesday, December 19, starting at 5pm at Park Street, Pittsworth.

Santa Claus arriving by Santa sleigh, free children's rides, fireworks, BBQ and other refreshmen­ts and a presentati­on to winners of the Christmas light competitio­n in Pittsworth.

18. Spring Bluff Carols at the Bluff

Sunday, December 17, from 4pm to 6.30pm at Spring Bluff Railway Station, McCormack Drive, Spring Bluff. Bring your own chair, blanket, singing voice and picnic.
