Elders partners with RFDS to assist rural Australians
LAST week, Elders announced a three-year major sponsorship of the Royal Flying Doctor Service Central Operations (RFDS) with the unveiling of a new aircraft in Adelaide.
The partnership struck a chord with Elders Toowoomba branch manager Errol Bartkowski who sees the synergy of his national real estate group working with an organisation dedicated to families in remote Australia.
“As a group, it’s a great honour to be associated with such a wonderful organisation as the RFDS,” Mr Bartkowski said.
“With our close links to the land we can appreciate just how vital the RFDS is, so it is great to see that South Australia will benefit from this new $300,000 sponsorship.
“It’s a big country and the people in the bush really rely on these planes with their short take off and landing capabilities and all the life-saving equipment on board.”
Mr Bartkowski said the Elders aircraft, affectionately named "Whiskey" will help to deliver life-saving 24-hour emergency retrievals and inter-hospital transfers across all regions of South Australia, the Northern Territory, and the Sunraysia region of Victoria.
He said Elders staff were also able to assist the RFDS’ important mission (supporting rural and remote communities) by signing up to “Elders Give It payroll donations”.
