Ram-raid robbery appeal
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a small white hatch-like car was used in a ram-raid robbery attempt of a Yelarbon shop late Monday night.
Police said thieves drove the car into the Taloom St shop front doors and stole cigarettes.
The car was seen in the area shortly before the theft and was parked on the side of the Cunningham Hwy at Yelarbon between 9.40pm and 10.15pm.
Police said another car, believed to be stolen, was seen approaching the small hatch.
Both vehicles left the area in an easterly direction a short time later.
Police are searching for witnesses who may have seen either of the vehicles to help the investigation.
A number of heavy vehicles are believed to have been travelling in both directions around the time of the incident.
Anyone passing through the area is urged to phone Policelink on 131 444.
