Baconman set for his debut

KINGAROY: Get down to the Kingaroy RSL tomorrow for the first public appearance of Baconman.

This seven-foot foam figure is the official mascot of the Kingaroy Baconfest.

Over the past months, Kingaroy barber Heather Anderson has been working away in secret to prepare the hand-made costume.

There have been a number of clandestine fittings and hushed brainstorming sessions to get this far without the public knowing. Mrs Anderson has volunteered her time and money to finish the project.
