Day hits top 10
Former world No.1 Jason Day has climbed back into the top 10 after his victory in the US PGA Tour event at Torrey Pines. The Australian moved up four places to 10th spot after edging out Alex Noren in a play-off to win the Farmers Insurance Open, his first title since the 2016 Players Championship. The other big mover was four-time major winner Rory McIlroy who jumped up three spots to eighth with his second-place finish in Dubai. American Dustin Johnson continues to lead the rankings from Spaniard Jon Rahm.
