10 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND
1. Easter egg hunt
WITH more than 3000 eggs to be found and cash prizes up for grabs, this is set to be one of Toowoomba’s biggest Easter egg hunts.
The Queens Park and Margaret St Markets have joined forces for the Eggstra Big Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday at Frogs Hollow.
The fun kicks off at 8am, and there are three golden eggs, worth $100 each, also to be found.

2. Jondaryan Woolshed
THE Jondaryan Woolshed is the place to be this Easter today and tomorrow, with fun promised for the whole family.
The Easter Family Fun event has brought back all the favourites, including wagon rides, horsemanship shows, museum tours, shearing and whip cracking.
The main attraction for the children will be the Great Easter Egg Muster, the animal nursery and old time games.

3. Bikes at Bunnings
COUNTRY music and motorbikes will be coming to the Toowoomba North Bunnings store today to celebrate Easter.
The hardware store has invited Patriots Australia’s Townsville branch and the Townsville and Thuringowa Country Music Association to set up in car park.
There will also be a jumping castle and sausage sizzle.
Patriots will be raising money for Legacy while doing its bike display.

4. Railway tours
THE DownsSteam Tourist Railway and Museum has a special treat for visitors over the Easter weekend.
Guests can get special tours of the restored Gatsby Flyer and Dreamtime Carriage.
There will also be a sausage sizzle, live music and coffee for sale.

5. Vintage Festival
THE Highfields Pioneer Village is holding its annual Easter Vintage Festival this long weekend.
Attractions include an animal nursery, draught horses, vintage machinery, butter making, country music, blacksmithing and silversmithing.

6. Movie Under the Stars
THE Toowoomba City Golf Club is hosting a free movie night today as a special event for the Easter weekend.

7. Busking Festival
SOME of Queensland’s best street artists will be performing across the city as part of the Toowoomba Busking Festival.
Run in conjunction with the Streets and Lanes Festival, 33 buskers will perform at different points throughout the CBD.
The first prize, worth $2500, has been donated by Bandland.

8. Streets and Lanes Festival
STREETS and Lanes Festival has returned in 2018, and it promises to be one of the biggest yet.

9. Local Feast Farmers Market
COME and join in the farmers’ market community with the My Local Feast Farmers Market.
Grab fresh made pasta, nuts, chutneys jams, organic and ethically raised meats.

10. Power of gold
THIS exhibition at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery explores the power and influence of gold in human society and its use in art.
