MODEL SHARES BEAUTY TIPS
INTERNATIONAL model Alison Gordon is the guest star at an upcoming Toowoomba modelling masterclass.
Clique Modelling Agency is holding a masterclass this Sunday for aspiring models wanting to know how to get their start in the industry.
Participants will learn the first steps of becoming a professional.
They will find out what they need to bring to shoots, how to approach photographers, about skin care, the language and etiquette needed on shoots as well as the importance of having a professional social media account.
It is being run by Clique Modelling Agency director Lex Williams, Lumionsa’s Ellie Burgoyne and Theresa Hall from Theresa Hall Photography.
As the guest star Ms Gordon will teach the participants how to walk on a catwalk and they’ll watch how she conducts herself at a professional photoshoot so they can see how it is done and pick up pointers.
She has walked overseas for Sass and Bide, attended multiple international fashion events and is widely respected for her fashion critique.
She also shares modelling and fashion tips on her successful blog ModestoBlog.
Ms Williams said it was a real coup to have her attend the class.
“Ali will be there to give real world insight into the industry for the girls,” she said.
“We want to help aspiring models harness their strengths and let them know they don’t have to be like everyone else to be successful.
“It’s about being individual.”
Participants will have their make-up done professionally by Ms Burgoyne and then have portfolio photos taken by Ms Hall.
Cost of the session is $500 and it kicks off at 9am upstairs at Ortem.
There are still a few spots left with females and males older than 14 encouraged to sign up.
