Battle for CBD space

-

A QUALITY commercial office space in Brisbane’s CBD has sold to a national training and development provider for $1.3 million.

Gregory Woods, of Savills, negotiated the sale on the property located at level 2/21 Mary St off the back of a formal advertising campaign.

Mr Woods said the campaign attracted more than 47 interested parties with the property sold to a subsidiary of a private workplace training organisation, Professional Development Training (PDT).

PDT is a leader in the delivery of corporate and professional development training.

The high level of interest was due to the property’s convenient location being in proximity to the Queen’s Wharf Casino precinct currently under development and also the George Street Government Precinct,” Mr Woods said.

PDT snapped up the full floor space at a rate of $3421 per square metre after being in the market for office accommodation for the last 12 months.

PDT global operations director Karen Winfield said the company previously leased accommodation on Newmarket Rd in Windsor and jumped at the Mary St opportunity when it arose.

“The property’s prime CBD centre location made it a convenient choice for our clients,

“We were also attracted to the current facilities, the re-fit and the current market conditions made Mary St an opportunity that we wanted to capitalise on,” she said.
