Club spokesman Paul Hanna said the long weekend of celebrations had drawn widespread support and interest but the club was keen to hear from anyone still considering joining in the mass reunion.

“Anyone associated with the club in any form will be welcome,” Hanna said.

“We’ve had good, positive feedback with people from as far away as America intending to be here.

“Our club won its first premiership in 1970 and with 16 titles we are the most successful club in the competition.

“We have 36 players lined up for an Old Boys match in the afternoon and that night we are going to name the top team from our 50-year period.

“Lots of memorabilia and photos will also be on display.”
