Heritage Bank Business Excellence Awards under way

CHAMBER’S Business Excellence Awards was launched at Heritage Bank on May 29 with sponsors and winners from last year in attendance to help get the 2018 awards program under way.

Heritage Bank has been a long-term partner of the chamber’s awards program and has again thrown its support behind the awards as major sponsor as have all our category sponsors for 2017.

The Business Excellence Awards is a wonderful opportunity to showcase excellence across our business community as well as a chance for individual businesses to take the time to assess their achievements and think about their goals for the future.

It was interesting to hear from last year’s Best Regional Business winner, Story Fresh, talk about how winning this award benefited the business. Geoffrey Story spoke at the launch and said winning the award was a reward and recognition for their entire staff team, but it also had a positive affect on their global supply chain.

As “chamber” has a strong brand recognition across the world, Story Fresh winning this award was regarded to be a significant achievement by many of their international customers and stakeholders.

Key dates for the 2018 awards program include nominations opening on Monday, June 18 and applications opening on Monday, July 16 with the not-to-be-missed Gala Awards Dinner set for Saturday, November 10 at the beautiful Empire Theatre.
