Winter Wonderland in CBD
Ice skating rink is main attraction
TOOWOOMBA’S Civic Precinct is being transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland.
The main attraction is the open-air ice skating rink, by Skating At.
Skating At is a national popup ice-skating festival, which is held all around the country and now it’s gliding into Toowoomba.
Already more than 1300 people have said they will head down the ice-skating rink this winter.
There will also be nightly outdoor Christmas themed movies, carols, food and entertainment.
It launches this Friday, an ideal time considering Toowoomba is currently shivering through its coldest week this year.
The Winter Wonderland will operate in the CBD from Friday, June 22 to Sunday, July 15.
ICE SKATING
Ice skating at the Civic Precinct is for people of all ages and skill levels, with 11 skating sessions a day for 160 people and skates available for hire.
It is open Monday to Wednesday from 9am to 9pm and Thursday to Sunday from 9am to 10pm.
Tickets can be bought at the box office or online at toowoomba.skatingat.com.au/.
Prices are $1 cheaper online. Online adult tickets cost $21, children cost $15 and it’s $65 for a family pass (two adults and two children).
CHRISTMAS MOVIE NIGHT
Popular Christmas movies will be held on the Village Green, between City Hall and Toowoomba Art Gallery.
