Nominate a hero for state award
IN THE true spirit of Queensland, Maryvale resident and deputy group officer Malcolm Stacey has dedicated the past 18 years of his life to the rural fire brigade service, earning him a nomination in this year’s QBANK Everyday Heroes Awards.
Queenslanders now have a chance to recognise their own local heroes, with nominations now open for the 2018 QBANK Everyday Heroes Awards.
The awards, now in their fifth year, aim to honour Queensland’s frontline and public service workers, as well as youth aged 17 years and under, who have gone above and beyond to help their community.
QBANK CEO Mike Currie said he looked forward to hearing the amazing stories of those across Queensland who have made a difference.
“We have five adult categories as well as a Young Everyday Hero Award for those aged 12-17 years of age, and it is always tough to choose just six recipients who exemplify the qualities of an everyday hero,” Mr Currie said.
Awards are presented in six categories including: Achievement, Ownership, Dedication, Working Together, Excellence and the Young Everyday Hero Award.
