RUNNING: Twenty-nine athletes under the guidance of coach Tom Bradbury at Running High Track and Field Coaching Services represented the Darling Downs region at the recent Queensland 10-19 years Cross Country Championships.

Darling Downs had 13 students selected from the championships to represent Queensland with five coming from the Running High group.

Charlie Randall (first in 12 years), Chloe Randall (first in 14 years), Teketel Tyson (fourth in 17 years), Amilia Schooley (fourth in 17 years), and Celeste Pratt (second AWD 13-15 years) all earned selection.

The squad of 29 gained seven top-10 placings with several athletes improving on their previous best placings at the championship.

More Queensland selections are possible at the upcoming Queensland Athletics Cross Country Championships at Maleny where several squad members will be pushing for the extra spots available in the club-based team to contest the nationals at Maleny on August 25.
