Foodie’s guide to tasting the best experiences around the world
MOVE over Paris, Rome and Singapore … and don’t even think about Sydney or Melbourne. If you’re looking for one of the world’s best foodie destinations, you need only look as far as Tasmania.
Tassie has been named Australia’s new foodie capital, according to Lonely Planet.
The travel bible’s Utimate Eatlist ranks the world’s top 500 food experiences – and eating Tasmanian oysters straight from the ocean ranks as the 13th best in the world.
The guidebook named the world’s top food experience as pintxos (bar snacks) in San Sebastian, Spain; followed by curry laksa in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and sushi in Tokyo, Japan.
