The Block NINE, 7pm
After three months of witnessing the hard yakka of The Block contestants renovate the dilapidated Gatwick in St Kilda, they have almost become like furniture – or family. Tonight’s finale is a tiny bit sad because we say goodbye to Norm and Jess, Kerrie and Spence (pictured) and the rest of the crew. But the anticipation is high to find out who will walk away from the show the winner. Past seasons have served up a mixed bag, with some couples walking away with virtually no prize money, while others have pocketed almost $1 million. Will the softening real estate market be kind to the contestants tonight?
Game Of Games WIN, 7.30pm
Pint-sized host Grant Denyer is often affectionately called a pocket rocket, but the vivacious and energised contestants in this action-packed new series really take the cake. Put simply, Game of
Games is not the sort of show you want to watch after a big weekend of overindulging. The frenetic pace and wacky segments will only make that lingering headache worse. But if you’re keen for a hefty dose of silliness and an overload of surprised faces, this Ellen DeGeneres creation is full of fun. Featuring contestants who are chosen from the audience, and a $50,000 prize up for grabs.
Kevin McCloud’s Top 10 ABC, 7.40pm
The hosts of Grand Designs in the UK and Australia bond over seamless and inspiring design as they collate a list of the most impressive abodes to feature on Grand Designs Australia series so far – on free-to-air TV, at least. It’s a bit of a thrill to witness the personalities compare notes and share banter and relative newcomer Maddison holds his own with the veteran host. Filmed in a modernist, national trust-listed home in Surrey, England, McCloud reveals his love of bold Aussie design.
