EVERYONE KNOWS TOOWOOMBA, EVERYONE LOVES TOOWOOMBA; IT’S A TOWN THAT EVERYONE RECOGNISES.”

JOYCE Mayne Toowoomba is proud to be local and isn’t ashamed to show it.

Electrical proprietor Wayne Peters has been Joyce Mayne proprietor in Toowoomba for over four years, with Morgan Page’s Computer department arriving a year ago alongside a full store renovation.

“On a daily basis, Joyce Mayne is recognised as a major player in the Electrical and Computer scene in Toowoomba,” Wayne said.

“Please do yourself a favour and see why we are fast becoming the Electrical and computer destination retailer in Toowoomba,” he said.

“Retail has been steady, and we have gone through the first 12 months of trading with the renovated store.

“We have received many kind compliments from customers enjoying the expanded product range and acknowledging the level of customer service they have been offered.”

The computers and electrical store sells everything from sound bars and TVs to fridges, ovens and washing machines.

“Going into the busy season, our big items will be fridges, freezers, and small appliances,” Wayne said.

The store is proud to carry many popular brand names without the hefty price tag, and stocks many popular items such as French door fridges and big screen televisions.

While Joyce Mayne is part of a larger corporation — which, as Wayne says, allows for better buying power which is passed on to the customer — the Toowoomba store is a enthusiastic about buying local.

“Buy local, shop local, and keep the money in the town — the more you buy local, shop local, the more the council has the ability to grow Toowoomba,” Wayne explained.

“My outlook personally is that I’d love to see a passenger carrier train go ahead,” he said.

“Obviously, people can commute from Toowoomba to Brisbane, or from Brisbane to Toowoomba, in that 40-minute period, but it also expands Toowoomba; the more people who come to Toowoomba, the more growth we get.

“So I’m a big advocate for the infrastructure that we’re getting in Toowoomba — when you see infrastructure in a town, you know the town is doing well,” Wayne said.

“Just look at what is being built around Toowoomba; it is unbelievable and makes us so proud.”

Joyce Mayne walks the walk instead of just talking the talk in the community as well.

“We’re a great supporter of giving to local charities and people who may not be as privileged as others,” Wayne said.

The store supports LifeFlight, It’s a Bloke Thing and the local Soup Kitchen.

Toowoomba born and bred, Wayne, his wife Tracy, and son Jackson are proud to call the Garden City home, and to have been voted one of the Top 100 Powerful Couples in Toowoomba.

Wayne and Tracy have seen the city grow from a country town of barely 70,000 to the current regional population of over 160,000.

“I’ve been in a lot of other towns before travelling, and everyone knows Toowoomba, everyone loves Toowoomba and its climate; it’s a town that everyone recognises.

“It is exciting to see the ongoing growth and development of Toowoomba and surrounds, such as how the addition of an airport has opened up many opportunities for locals.,” Wayne said.

“We also have many international events and performers coming to Toowoomba, which brings more people into the town,” Wayne said.

“We won the Joyce Mayne/ Domayne Australian Proprietor of the Year award for 2016/ 17,” he said.

“I am also seeing more and more local businesses win awards for their excellence in their fields of work.

“It makes us even more proud of Toowoomba when you see that.”

“Toowoomba is only going to get stronger over the next 10 years and it’s going to be fantastic to be along on the ride to see what exciting and new things come to this great town,” Wayne said.

With Christmas around the corner, come down and see Wayne, Tracy and their professional sales team at Joyce Mayne and grab a great bargain.
