Motor Mecca finds a new home

-

LOCAL outdoor power equipment specialist Motor Mecca has purchased a neighbouring Harristown address, acquiring an office and warehouse space which will serve as a showroom for its wide range of models.

Motor Mecca will relocate in January 2019 to its new 4150sq m site at 330 Anzac Avenue – up the street from its previous base – from where the team will continue their product sales, parts and servicing for a wide spectrum of tools for existing and new clients.

LJ Hooker Commercial Toowoomba’s Markus Eames managed the sales campaign on behalf of the vendor.

Mr Eames said: "The site offers exceptional exposure with literally thousands of vehicles passing the Anzac Avenue address each day.

"Having previously operated in Anzac Avenue for 39 years, Motor Mecca appreciated the benefit of profile on the new site, which is opposite Bunnings.

"As specialists of high-end power tools, Motor Mecca is also able to leverage its new proximity to Bunnings, making it convenient for domestic and agricultural customers to find a wide range of products for the outdoors without having to make numerous trips."

The Anzac Avenue site included 856sq m of warehouse, 244sq m of office and showroom and 265sq m of workshop, storeroom and mezzanine. Motor Mecca has transformed the building into a one-stop-shop for all your needs.

The warehouse also features high bay internal ceilings measuring more than eight metres and seven high automatic doors.

Mr Eames said owner-occupants were currently active in the Toowoomba market, propelled by prolonged low interest rates and infrastructure investment.

"The Second Range Crossing and the increasing volume of services at Wellcamp (Airport) is heightening the profile of Toowoomba as not only the gateway to the state’s west, but also as an economic hub in its own right," he said.

"Operators of established businesses are still finding access to finance and Toowoomba’s reputation as a centrepiece of regional Queensland is well recognised by the lenders."
