Jockey racks up wins

RACING: Skye Bogenhuber needs no directions to find the Clifford Park winner’s stall.

She does, after all, have five Toowoomba premiership trophies in her locker.

But it’s doubtful she’s had many days in the saddle to match her Saturday effort with four Clifford Park winners giving her five victories for the day and six to finish the week off.

“Wow, what a day,” Bogenhuber said after winding up her Saturday’s work.

Bogenhuber was seen at her skilful best guiding $1.90 favourite Splitz, Okanagan Miss ($4.20), Von Richter ($4.60) and Dinisty ($6) to Clifford Park wins.

Earlier she scored on Diarist ($1.70 fav) at the Gold Coast which followed her Ipswich victory on Friday aboard Oakfield Monarch ($4).

Toowoomba trainer Ben Currie also remained in multiple-winning form on Saturday, saddling five winners at four different tracks.

Currie was successful at the Gold Coast with Diarist and Kilcoy with Grey Factor before Snitch ($4.80) arrived for the stable at Doomben.

Currie struck late at Clifford Park where Von Richter broke through for an overdue win in the Benchmark 70 Handicap (1625m) and first-starter Sizzling Sun ($5) completed a two-track winning double for jockey Nozi Tomizawa with her victory in the Furneys Maiden Plate (1050m).
