A bright future ahead for Toowoomba businesses
FUTURE Leaders is a well-established initiative of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce specifically targeting our younger professionals and business people, continuing to inspire development and growth opportunities today, empowering the leaders of tomorrow.
Since its inception in 2008, Future Leaders has developed a strong identity of its own it has grown to become an integral part of Chamber.
Four new Future Leaders Advisory Group members for 2019 were announced at the Future Leaders Christmas party held last week at the beautiful Gabbinbar Homestead.
The role of the group is to provide strategic advice and insights to help the chamber provide relevant and appropriate support to future leaders in our business community with a focus on the three key areas of connect, grow and lead and an overall vision of inspiring and empowering.
Last month the chamber called for nominations from our Future Leaders membership for those interested in forming the 2019 FLAG and then had the very difficult job of selecting just four individuals from a very strong field of applicants.
On behalf of the chamber, I would like to thank all applicants for their interest and congratulate Jason Doig (JJ Richards), Amy Thompson (Monkey Business), Peter Rowe (Power Tynan) and Simon Playford (Clifford Gouldson) on their appointment to the 2019 FLAG – I look forward to working with you to deliver a sensational Future Leaders program next year.
The new FLAG will meet next week to start working on plans for 2019.
If you are a Future Leader and have ideas that will help us make the 2019 Future Leaders program great, the chamber and the FLAG would love to hear from you. If you have staff in your business aged between 18 and 35 years, I encourage you to support them to actively participate in the Future Leaders program.
