Dalby practice opens Sunday

DALBY: Myall Medical Practice will open seven days a week from February 1.

The centre, which opens six days, will open on Sundays in three weeks time.

Associate owner John Bechtel said the practice would extend its hours to operate a 70-hour-week, including Saturdays until 4.30pm, and 10am to 2pm on Sundays.

“The Saturday clinics have been getting busier and we know there’s always been demand for a Sunday service because everything else goes to the hospital,” Dr Bechtel said.

“So we’re trying to respond to that community need.”

The centre estimated the new hours would provide an additional 60 to 65 appointments a week.

Dr Bechtel said the opening hours would provide more opportunity and flexibility for those booking check-ups.
