Where to catch Walters in town
QUEENSLAND coach Kevin Walters will be in the Garden City this week, and it’s all for a good cause.
The Origin great and men’s health advocate will be the special guest speaker at The Fit Lab on Thursday night where he will discuss exercise for the management of prostate cancer.
The free event, coordinated by The Fit Lab and Darling Downs Hospital and Health Services, will see rugby league legend Walters delve into the benefits that come with exercising while on a prostate cancer journey and the specialised programs available in Toowoomba.
According to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, the disease is responsible for 3000 deaths a year and is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men.
Members of the community are invited to attend the event from 6pm.
