Awards, new Aussie citizens

ESK: The Somerset Regional Council will recognise its outstanding citizens at an Australia Day Awards ceremony on Saturday, January 26.

Everyone is invited to attend the ceremony which will start at 9am at the Somerset Civic Centre in Esk and feature guest speaker Aboriginal Elder Faye Carr of the Yuggera People.

Five new citizens will also be welcomed during the ceremony, and a free morning tea will be served at the end of the celebrations.

Bookings are not required and doors will open at 8am.
