Toddler left in locked car
A TODDLER has been rescued from a locked car in Melbourne’s west.
Firefighters found the 20month-old boy in Derrimut alone in the locked vehicle just after 11am and forced the door open.
Paramedics were also on scene.
Melbourne was forecast to reach a top of 35C yesterday.
Authorities have repeatedly warned children should never be left unattended in the car, as temperatures rise to dangerous levels quickly, causing serious injury or death in as little as a few minutes.
