Final teams named for the Clydesdale­s

RUGBY LEAGUE: The Toowoomba Clydesdale­s have finalised its pair of teams to take on Brisbane Wests on Saturday in Warwick.

The two curtain raisers ahead of the Brisbane Broncos NRL trial game feature some of the best players in the TRL Premiershi­p, and serve as a key selection trial before the TRL All Stars vs South West Emus fixtures on February 23.

Injuries have forced further changes to the teams, with Sean Loxley, Daniel Hork, Steven Franciscus and Matt Duggan ruled out of the fixture.

Team one is characteri­sed with a distinct Hawks feel in the backline, with the halves pairing of Luke Nolan and Hayden Lipp accompanyi­ng outside backs Daniel Jennings and Billy Jackwitz.

Ben Sullivan and Tyrell McCullagh will share the hooking duties which is set to provide an avalanche of pace out of dummy half.

Valleys will have eight representa­tives in team two, alongside six Highfields players.

Joe Mua had his first stint in the red and black during Valleys loss to Easts Tigers at the weekend, and will slot into the side on the interchang­e bench.

The stars aren’t restricted to the field on the evening, with coach Ned Murphy opting for a star-studded support crew.

Tony Morris will take up an assistant role, while former NRL first graders Brett Seymour and Travis Burns will take up unfamiliar roles as trainers.

Bench: Tyrell McCullagh, Josh Stanton, Mitch Duff, Ricky Davies, Nick van der Poel, Will O’Gradey, Nathan Gaulton, Ben Cook.

TEAM TWO (TO PLAY AT 3.30PM): Dylan Chown, Aaron Hooper, Kalemb Hart, Sean Hamel, Campbell Stewart, Sam Betros, Cory McGrady, Sam Bielefeld, Nathan Bowering, Blake Mara, Connor Nolan, Hnaloan Budden, Jason Sharpe. Bench: Matt Marshall, Jazz Namana, Daniel Dean, Mitch Betros, Craig Donn, Joe Mua, Zac Miles.
