Family first dad is free
POLICE are awaiting autopsy results on an intruder who died after a struggle with a Sydney father in his family home.
Harrington Park resident Johan Schwartz, 44, was released on Sunday without charge after he was woken about 7.30am that day and “challenged a male intruder”.
The intruder, aged 35, collapsed following the confrontation. He could not be revived.
It’s believed Mr Schwartz’s wife and child were home at the time. Police said Mr Schwartz was entitled to use “reasonable force” to protect his home and family.
