BEAUTY advisor Karly White has been selected to work behind the scenes at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival for the second year in a row.

The Westbrook resident beat out 650 other competitors to be selected as part of the Priceline Pharmacy Beauty Advisors team, which will travel to the week-long event on March 4.

Ms White, who has been working at the Westridge branch of the pharmacy for two and a half years, said she had been interested in makeup from a young age.

“I grew up practising makeup looks on my younger sister,” she said. “I also got a lot of my inspiration from Instagram.”

Ms White will help to create hair and beauty looks for runway shows across the festival.

“Last year was my first year at (the festival) so I didn’t really know what to expect,” she said.

“But I’m really looking forward to getting back there again as I’m armed with more knowledge.

“I can’t wait to interact with all the people that come through the Beauty Bar again and teach them all about the new trends this season.”
