■ In so far as the banking royal commission is concerned with the departure of Henry and Thorburn from ANZ, justice has been partially done. JH, Gvale

■ Every school day there are speeding vehicles along Stenner St and Mackenzie around both sides of Gabbinbar State School when school zones are flashing.. here’s a crazy idea, how about police pop a static speed camera for a week and see how many they catch.. then follow up on all the no standing zone parking! They will soon see how ignorant some of these drivers are. Jess

■ The light sequence Hursley/Tor west bound is pathetic. You’re lucky to get six vehicles through. I am sure council is aware if the traffic volumes using Hurley Rd.

JH, Gvale

■ I think that Scott Morrison’s ardent opposition to the banking royal commission will come back to haunt him. Australians generally have a low opinion of banks and many will question Morrison’s loyalties. Being a banking apologist is not a good look. The Coalition has a hard road ahead towards the election. An advantage the Coalition has is that Bill Shorten is opposition leader.
