Chelsea’s Cup defence ends
FA Cup holders Chelsea have been dumped out of the competition, beaten 2-0 by Manchester United in a game that has piled more pressure on Blues manager Maurizio Sarri.
It was a measure of revenge for United, who lost to Chelsea in last May’s Wembley final under their former boss Jose Mourinho.
After yesterday’s game, United were drawn to face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in the quarter-finals.
In the other quarter-finals, Manchester City will visit Swansea City, Watford are at home to Crystal Palace and Socceroos goalkeeper Mat Ryan’s Brighton and Hove Albion will clash with Millwall.
