Neers on a roll in lead up to the QBL season

-

BASKETBALL: Toowoomba Mountaineers players are continuing to fine-tune their preparations for the QBL season in the TBA Patron’s Cup.

A number of local players have been plying their trade on a Monday night to stay fit in preparation for the start of the new season late next month.

Import Ricardo Martin kept his scoring streak alive, dropping 23 points in the Wolves 59-43 victory over the Eagles.

Fresh off helping the Mountaineers U18s through to Southern Cup grand final, Jorja Bolton dropped 23 points as the Stealers overcame the Shooting Stars.

New recruit Demi Skinner continued the trend of big names scoring 23 points, as she reached that figure for USQ as they took down the Eagles on Monday night.

Fellow Mountaineer Kimberlee Wilson added 18 points, while for the Eagles, Morgan Prentice led the way with 20.

In the Northern Territory, Tito Kwajakwan is continuing to make waves in the Darwin Basketball Association.

Despite missing his last game for Essington, the guard was in fine form the week prior, hitting eight three-pointers on his way to a personal tally of 37 in a 30-point win over the Jets.

Kwajakwan currently sits in sixth in the league for scoring, and second in shooting from beyond the arc.
