Alastair McLeod to host cooking demo
POPULAR celebrity chef Alastair McLeod will be back in Toowoomba this weekend to share his knowledge of food and fresh produce.
Best known for his roles on Network 10’s Ready Steady Cook and Channel 7’s Great Day Out, Mr McLeod is not only known for his cooking skills but great personality.
He will be conducting cooking demonstrations in Grand Central’s Market Room on Saturday, March 30.
Grand Central marketing manager Marieke Bridgeman said it was Mr McLeod’s fourth visit to the shopping centre.
“We always have a fantastic time with him and a great response from the community,” she said.
“Alastair has an enthusiasm for all things food that is infectious.
“He will be conducting cooking demonstrations on the day, creating three delicious dishes with fresh produce from our Market Room retailers including Andrew’s Meats, Central Seafood Market and Toowoomba Fresh.”
Demonstrations will be held at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm.
Ms Bridgeman said they were free to attend and no RSVP is required.
“You can come to one session, or you can come to all. We’ll also provide take home recipe cards so people can recreate the dishes at home,” she said.
