TENNIS: Toowoomba’s young talent put their skills to the test last week.
Orange Ball: (1) Cowboys defeated Opposition 40 points to 26 points. Doubles: Daniel Beits and Josh Stapleton lost to Jordan Drover and Will Comerford 8-6, Josh and Cooper Cook d Will C and Jack Haddin 8-6. Singles: Cooper d Jack 15-0, Josh d Will 6-5, Daniel lost to Jordan 7-5.
(2) Condors defeated Barty 45 points to 37 points. Doubles: Peter Freeman and Parker Eames d Blake Best and Will Ward 15-13. Singles: Peter lost to Blake 9-7, Parker d Will 7-5, Peter d Will 10-2, Parker lost to Blake 8-6.
(3) Aces defeated Windmills - 39 points to 27 points. Doubles: Bryn Cunningham and
Jimmy Turner d Ed Barwick and Cameron Fanning 8-1, Bryn and Jimmy tied with Declan Zimmerle and Ed 8-8, Bryn and Jimmy lost to Declan and Cameron 8-5. Singles: Bryn lost to Declan 6-2, Jimmy tied with d Cameron 5-5, Bryn d Ed 8-2, Parker d Ljay 15-2.
(4) Eat Cheese defeated Nadal - 37 points to 18 points. Doubles: Harry Haddin and Charlie Rafter d Sophie Stapleton and Ruan Vosloo 9-3. Singles: Harry lost to Sophie 9-3, Charlie d Ruan 8-1, Charlie d Sophie 12-0, Harry tied with Ruan 5-5.
