Attempted murder

A CHARGE of attempted murder against a man accused of stabbing a 29-year-old woman in Gatton has been further adjourned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court. Hussain Ali, 57, was not required in court and remains in custody. His solicitor Nathan Bouchier told the court he was still awaiting material from police and sought an adjournment. Police claim the woman, who is known to the accused, sustained a number of stab wounds to her torso and back during an alleged incident at a Dwyer St home on Saturday, November 3.

The case was adjourned for mention back in court on April 17.
