Hetty Johnson is guest speaker
KINGAROY: A voice for children and adults who have experienced sexual assault is the official guest speaker for this year’s South Burnett Mayor’s Community Charity Breakfast.
Hetty Johnston, the founder of the Bravehearts Foundation, started her fight against sexual assault in 1997.
Bravehearts is a registered non-profit charity providing counselling services for both children and adults who have experienced sexual assault.
Mrs Johnston is also behind the national awareness campaign known as White Balloon Day, which has received national support.
This year the breakfast will be held on May 2 from 6.30am at the Kingaroy RSL.
