Hetty Johnson is guest speaker

KINGAROY: A voice for children and adults who have experience­d sexual assault is the official guest speaker for this year’s South Burnett Mayor’s Community Charity Breakfast.

Hetty Johnston, the founder of the Braveheart­s Foundation, started her fight against sexual assault in 1997.

Braveheart­s is a registered non-profit charity providing counsellin­g services for both children and adults who have experience­d sexual assault.

Mrs Johnston is also behind the national awareness campaign known as White Balloon Day, which has received national support.

This year the breakfast will be held on May 2 from 6.30am at the Kingaroy RSL.
