Sixty years ago, Jean was on the cover of the Toowoomba show supplement published by The Chronicle.
The Norgaard family still dairy near Goombungee and Yarraman, where Jean was an original junior farmer. Jean married an Norwegian immigrant named Magna Liset.
Magna ran Liset Engineering, a successful engineering workshop in Oakey, until his untimely death in his Long-EZ aeroplane in 1994, after which his son took over the business.
