Wednesday, March 20 afternoon social play was won by David Freeme, Keith Herbertson and Les Chikos, and coming in second was Bevan Wingett and Andrew Tabor.

There were no championsh­ip matches played on Saturday, March 23.

2018-19 intra-club matches called for play on Saturday, March 30 are:Open triples semi - Tony Ryan, Kerry Lovell and John Fowler v Tony Collins, Ben Ruwoldt and Brent Schloss; club selected triples semi - Daryl Fraser, Bill Perry and Pat Knowles v Ray Weis, Bevan Wingett and Vince Vaz.

Sunday, March 24 mixed social afternoon was taken out by Jim Walcroft and Les Chikos; and Shane Case and Peter Coman picked up second.

The fifth in our current series of six community night bowls evenings was held on Tuesday, March 19.

Again a good crowd of locals took to the green for an entertaini­ng couple of hours. Burgers are always tasty and ready from 6pm, games start at 6.30, absolutely no bowls experience is necessary, the meat tray raffle is a ripper, and prizes are drawn out of the hat.

Tuesday, March 26 will be the final evening of the 2019 night bowls program.

Sunday, April 7: Visit by the Brisbane Fire Brigade social club.

Don't miss the special day planned for Saturday, April 6 to support our mate and fellow member, Ben Ruwoldt. Make sure that you get your names in for "Ben's Big Bowls Bash". No bowls experience is necessary, just come along for a good time.

The next management committee meeting of the club is scheduled for Sunday, April 14 at 9.30am in the clubhouse.
