PGA PROS TEE UP TO SUPPORT CLUB
Annual event attracts quality professional field
GOLF: Six leading Australasian professionals are giving their time to the 2019 Andrew Dodt Golf Weekend when it returns to Gatton Jubilee Golf Club next month.
Dodt is set to host his 10th annual fund-raiser for his home club on April 12, 13 and 14 and an impressive line-up of his PGA colleagues and some of Australasia’s biggest touring names will be there in support.
Jake Higginbottom, Steve Jeffress, Dimitrios Papadatos, Jamie Hook, Michael Sim, and Callan O’Reilly will be taking to the Gatton fairways as part of the fun, entertainment and fund-raising efforts.
“The weekend is now in it’s 10th year and is shaping up to be our biggest yet,” Dodt said.
“We have six PGA Australasian players attending and this year we have introduced a bidding system where anyone (prior to the event) can bid to play with a professional with the highest bid securing a pro in their group.”
Dodt has also organised some prized sport memorabilia to be auctioned with all proceeds going towards the Gatton course grounds and maintenance.
“Last year we introduced an Ultimate Auction of Sports Memorabilia which is on again this year,” Dodt said.
“It includes items such as a Ricky Ponting signed bat, Shane Warne signed ball, 2018 Masters caps signed by Jason Day, Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman.

“We also have entertainment on Friday night with former Voice contestant Brooke Schubert performing live from 7pm.”
The Friday, April 12 event is a four-person Ambrose with a single stableford on Saturday for all grades and ladies with an 11-hole two-person Ambrose played on Sunday.
